Mobile Service during lock-down

If you are looking to get your bike fixed while the Hub is closed, I can offer free mobile bike repairs.

Just message me, tell me what the problem is, and your address. I can service your bike outside, if I need to purchase any parts I will let you know the cost beforehand. If you could message me the photos of the fault, or details of the components which you think are faulty, I will be able to plan ahead and bring all the right bits with me.

I will wear latex gloves and spray down the parts of the bike that I touch with bleach, and keep safe distance at all times.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch, priority to key workers 🙂

If you would like to make a PayPal donation at any point, that would be towards the Bike Hub, entirely on pay-as-you-feel basis.

For enquiries and bookings please use our phones during opening times and email outside of those:

If you would like to book a repair please get in touch with us via Facebook Messenger link.

Thank you for visiting our website.

Platt Fields Bike Hub is a community project which aims to support Manchester’s cycling community by providing access to workshop space and tools, training bicycle mechanics as well as supporting other like-minded projects in the local area.

Please come in and chat to us if you’re having mechanical problems with your bike, would like some general cycling advice, or if you’d like to get involved in the project while improving your skills.

We love second hand unwanted bikes!

If there’s an old bike in your shed that you’re no longer cycling, please bring it to us. We’ll restore it and find it a new loving owner.

This way you’ll save a bike from the skip, give someone a great second-hand bike and will help support our project.

Call out for volunteers!

Do you know your way around a bicycle? Would you like to bring your skills to a higher level? Would you like to help us put more people on bikes? We are constantly looking for volunteers who can share their skills.

This website is under development and will be updated regularly so please make sure you come back to check how we’re doing.
